During a recent appearance on the “Down Under The Ring” podcast, Darby Allin mentioned that he feels no urgency to finish Steven Borden’s training to become a wrestler.

Borden, Sting’s son, began training this year following his appearance at AEW Revolution 2024.

Allin said, "See the thing is, Steven, his son, is actually training a lot. It all depends, those are big shoes to follow, you know? Time is of the essence with that one, you don't want to rush anybody because if you rush somebody in there [people will say], 'Oh, that was a favor for Sting.' Once Steven steps foot in the ring for the first time, we all want to be like, 'Okay, he worked for this, he deserves this.'”

In a recent interview with NJPW1972.com, Kenny Omega challenged Gabe Kidd for a match at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty 2025, marking his first bout in over a year.

Omega has been sidelined due to diverticulitis. His last match was against Ethan Page on the December 5, 2023, episode of AEW Collision.

In a recent tweet, Kidd accepted Omega’s challenge for Wrestle Dynasty. The match is now official for the January 5th pay-per-view event.

Kidd wrote, "You a real PU**Y for that @KennyOmegamanX. Get your meds ready & prescribed by Dr Hayashi. You gonna need em because ima f**k you up so bad you'll be wishing that stomach illness killed off.
