Mercedes Moné successfully defended her AEW TBS Championship and captured Stephanie Vaquer’s NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship in their Winner Takes All match at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door III. She continues the trend that has been happening quite often in both AEW and other companies over the past few years in having wrestlers hold more than one championship simultaneously.

But that wasn’t the end of the segment, as Dr. Britt Baker made her surprising return to send a message to the new double-champion.

No words were exchanged, nor blows, but the message was clear that Baker is going to be The CEO’s next challenger for one of those titles—likely the AEW TBS Championship. We can even so go far as to assume this will happen in Wembley at AEW All In, coming up Sunday, August 25, 2024. Then again, if that is too long for AEW to stretch this out, we could see those two face off on a special episode of Dynamite coming sooner, like Blood & Guts on July 24th.

Do you think Baker will win either of those titles from Mercedes? Are you excited to see her back in action? Drop your reactions in the comments below!
