Brett Lauderdale Speaks Out On WWE ID, MLW Kings of Colosseum News
Today at 07:12 PM
During a recent appearance on the “Business of the Business” podcast, GCW owner Brett Lauderdale discussed how the WWE ID program affects his promotion and what it could mean for the independent wrestling scene in the future.
The new ID allows WWE to identify “prospects” from the independent circuit who may be signed by the company in the future.
Lauderdale said, "Not changing anything yet. I don't know of any impact yet. I think we're all still figuring out what it is. Even people who are part of it, they're still trying to figure out exactly what it is. It seems like a positive thing, based on the parameters, guidelines, and explanation of what it is. It seems to be helpful for wrestlers. There are not guidelines or restrictions when you work with WWE ID talent. Is that going to be the same forever? I don't know. That's the word right now. Until I see otherwise, I have no reason to think that's going to change.”
Major League Wrestling has announced that Hechicero will compete at MLW Kings of Colosseum, which will be held on January 11 in Dallas, TX.
The company also announced an MLW World Heavyweight Title match for Kings Of Colosseum, with Satoshi Kojima defending against Matt Riddle.
