Backstage Notes, Dark Matches, & Producers For WWE SmackDown (10/4/24)

Fightful Select has shared the list of producers and some backstage notes for last night's episode of WWE SmackDown.

* Nick Aldis produced an opening dark match featuring Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews vs. Los Garzas.
* Robert Roode produced AJ Styles' return promo. Roode also produced the AJ Styles vs. Carmelo Hayes match.
* Petey Williams produced the Dumpster Match featuring Michin vs. Chelsea Green.
* Shane Helms produced the segment with Bayley, Nia Jax, and Tiffany Stratton.
* A producer was not listed for the main event Ladder Match between Street Profits, DIY, and The Bloodline.
* On WWE Speed, Nick Aldis produced Kairi Sane vs. Candice LeRae.
* Aldis also produced Iyo Sky vs. Candice LeRae for WWE Speed.
* Nick Aldis produced a dark match featuring Liv Morgan vs. Lyra Valkyria.
* There was also a main event dark match featuring Cody Rhodes vs. Austin Theory. The producer for the match is unknown.
Former WWE Champion AJ Styles returned to WWE TV last night on SmackDown and faced Carmelo Hayes. However, the match was halted when it appeared Styles had suffered an injury, leading to Hayes being announced as the victor.
According to the report, Styles is not hurt, and the segment was an injury angle. The Phenomenal One is doing fine and is not legitimately injured. Chad Barbash was internally listed as the writer for Styles' promo segment.
Chelsea Green reportedly received high praise for her audience reaction during the Dumpster Match with Michin. WWE also took photos and some "digital skits"following the match.
Street Profits, DIY, and The Bloodline emerged unscathed from the main event Ladder Match. WWE officials were reportedly happy with how the match played out. Moreover, WWE is now listing DIY as "#DIY" internally.
The internal name for last night's episode of SmackDown in Nashville, Tennessee, was "#Trashville." The writer for the opening of last night's show was reportedly Sondra Lacey.

* Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews beat Los Garza in a tag team match before the live broadcast.
* Sheamus defeated Austin Theory after SmackDown went off the air.
* Liv Morgan defeated Lyra Valkyria post-SmackDown.
* Cody Rhodes defeated Austin Theory post-SmackDown.
And finally, WWE will return to the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on February 10, 2025, for Monday Night RAW.
