Backstage Details On Shinsuke Nakamura's UFC 303 Appearance

As we previously reported here on eWn, Shinsuke Nakamura accompanied Tsuruya Rei to the cage at UFC 303. The pair came out to the WWE Superstar’s theme music.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has shared details on Nakamura’s appearance at UFC 303 and the circumstances leading to it.

Nakamura stated that he had a prior acquaintance with Tsuruya’s father and that they had trained together during Nakamura’s MMA days.

Tsuruya’s father requested Nakamura to be in his son’s corner, to which Nakamura gladly agreed. The WWE Superstar mentioned enjoying the atmosphere at the UFC event.

Nakamura also noted that he was once approached to fight in the UFC but remained faithful to NJPW. However, he desired to have had at least one fight in the UFC.
