Jacob Fatu recently debuted on WWE Smackdown as a member of The Bloodline. He has been signed to WWE for several months and was present backstage at WrestleMania 40 and throughout WrestleMania weekend.

Fatu had never wrestled outside the United States. Sources from Major League Wrestling (MLW) had previously suggested that this was due to Fatu’s criminal record from his younger years, a life he has since left behind. However, it was still being determined whether this would continue to be a barrier for him in the future, particularly with WWE’s extensive international events and television tapings scheduled for the spring and summer.

Despite his past, Fatu’s history has not hindered his hiring. In fact, WWE’s newer management has long been interested in him.

Fightful Select is reporting that Fatu has made a remarkably positive impression within WWE, demonstrating a respectful approach to everyone backstage.

Additionally, the Samoan will continue to use his “Jacob Fatu” ring name in his career moving forward. This decision not only maintains his identity but also honors his family’s wrestling legacy.

Notably, Fatu’s father and the fathers of Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa teamed up for several years in the 1980s, a legacy that he will continue to carry forward.
