Young Bucks Reportedly Wanted To Lose AEW Tag Team Titles To Rising Stars In A Squash MatchJoey G.

The Young Bucks pull back the curtain.

The AEW superstars recently interviewed with Tunnel Talk Pod, where they reflected on their latest tag team title reign that ended at the hands of Private Party. At one point, the Bucks revealed that creative for their reign, which was their fourth since the promotion began in 2019, changed over four times. One plan they pitched was to drop the titles to a more unknown tag team in a squash match.

According to Fightful Select, the team that the Bucks were referencing were The Outrunners. The duo of Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd have gotten over huge with the AEW fan base thanks to their nostalgic 1980s-esque act. While the Bucks obviously didn't end up pulling the trigger on that title change, the rise of the Outrunners is still impossible to ignore.

The Bucks have been absent from AEW ever since they lost to Private Party. Rumors are they will feud with Jon Moxley and his Death Riders upon returning.
