WWE SmackDown Review: Hits And Misses For November 15
Today at 03:30 PM
Welcome to the latest edition of our weekly WWE SmackDown hits and misses series.
WWE presented this week’s SmackDown from the Fiserv Forum Arena in Milwaukee, WI. The show featured Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Bayley, Nia Jax, and more.
Here’s what went down on the November 15 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Hit – B-Fab steps up on WWE SmackDown
B-Fab got a lot of TV time on SmackDown this week. The triple threat was a great way to showcase how much she’s improved in the ring, and she’s improved a lot. B-Fab was on the offense for the majority of the match till Bayley got the advantage of an opening. Booking Bayley to win the match was the right decision because the United States Championship tournament could use a veteran like Bayley.
Miss – Santos Escobar promo
I’m glad they went with Berto instead of Escobar because that promo was bad. Escobar is usually a solid promo guy but he can’t match LA Knight’s charisma. That’s a whole different level we are talking about here, yeah! Berto made most of the little time he got against the United States Champion. BTW, those commercial breaks suck. Nakamura’s return was a nice surprise to set up his program with Knight.
Hit – Bronson Reed picks a side on WWE SmackDown
The Bloodline saga gave us another great show this week on SmackDown. The OGs had the upper hand until Bronson Reed showed up to cause chaos. We got a cool visual of Reed having a staring contest with Jacob Fatu before the AusZilla beat the hell out of the OG Bloodline. Roman Reigns got flattened by a tsunami. The New Bloodline has its fifth member. Let’s see if this forces a certain Visionary to make up his mind.
Miss – Tag team title match ends in no contest
MCMG versus Profits went into no contest just as things started to heat up. Yes, it makes sense from a storyline POV but I wanted to see the action. Ciampa showed up looking like 2001 Triple H (minus the hair). Gargano tried his best to calm down his best friend. Dawkins frisked Shelley because The Street Profits got screwed AGAIN.
Hit – Nia Jax vs. Naomi
The best match of the night, in my opinion, and Nia’s best televised title match since her return. Both women gave everything they had. All those near falls helped create some huge suspense towards the climax. Naomi’s reversal on Nia from the top rope was a holy sh**t moment. Props to both ladies for pulling it off the way they did.
Honorable Mentions
- Cody Rhodes almost got Nick Aldis into clutching his fist. Honestly, I would love to see Aldis lace up his wrestling boots. Owens responded from his car and his promo was great as usual. Both men will come face-to-face next week on SmackDown.
- WWE SmackDown this week ended on a cliffhanger but what a cliffhanger we go. Click here to read what happened towards the end of the show. The build-up to Survivor Series just got a lot more interesting.
