WWE NXT's Ethan Page Says AEW Didn't Know What They Had In Him; Says He Can Relate To PentaJeff Whalen

-- Former WWE NXT Champion Ethan Page recently appeared on Busted Open Radio where he discussed the many successes he has enjoyed since leaving AEW for WWE while also relating to Penta's decision to jump ship as well. About his misuse in AEW a promotion he described as "unorganized and chaotic", Page said:

"They didn't know what they had, and now they do. I'm gone. These guys have me. They have the ability to do whatever it is that they want, and they have chosen to open a door for Ethan Page to absolutely kick wide open."

-- Page joined AEW in 2021 and stayed there until the spring of 2024 when he quietly departed the company. He joined WWE's NXT brand just weeks later, attacking then champion Trick Williams, kick starting a storyline that culminated with him becoming NXT champion. Page has continued to be one of the key players on NXT and last week, shared screen time with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

-- Page also spoke of Penta's debut with WWE, who left AEW under somewhat similar circumstances.

"I can relate to Penta, especially family-wise, getting to see him on Raw with his family in the front row, his daughter specifically in tears. It was almost a flashback to me winning the championship in my home country of Canada in Toronto, my daughter in the front row, finally getting to see her dad fulfill his dream of being a champion, the champion in the company he's always wanted to be in. So yeah, I can only imagine how Penta felt last night, debuting WWE, Monday Night Raw, Netflix, who knows how many millions of people were watching? It had to feel good."
