Triple H is doing all he can to make WrestleMania 41 match last year’s incredible main event match.
WrestleMania 40 ended with Cody Rhodes beating Roman Reigns for the WWE Championship. During the match, both men had help from runs in from the likes of The Rock, John Cena, Seth Rollins and The Undertaker in what has gone down as an all-time great WrestleMania main event.
Triple H recently spoke with Sports Illustrated. He was asked about the pressure of living up to that match with WrestleMania 41. The WWE boss noted that it’s tough, but the company will do all it can to go one better when it comes to WrestleMania in Las Vegas.
“I feel like, in this industry, it’s always like—you do something, and you’re like, ‘Ah man, that was great,’ and then you’re asking yourself, ‘How do we go past that?’ Right? It’s always the challenge. You always want it to be the absolute best it can be.” Triple H said.
“That’s a tough one to surpass, though. You know, you look at WrestleMania III. You think, ‘How do you get past Andre and Hogan?’ What’s bigger than that? And you just have to do your best to get to the other side.”
“I can tell you this: no matter what, we will pull out all the stops to make WrestleMania in Las Vegas the biggest it has ever been. Can it all click on all cylinders like that main event did? Maybe, maybe not. But you want the entire event to feel as big as possible. So we’re going to do everything in our power to make it bigger than we’ve ever seen before—bigger, more star-studded, better storylines, all of it.”
“We’ll do everything we can to make it that way and hope we succeed. But if we don't, it won't be for lack of effort, that's for sure.” Triple H added.
