Triple H Approached WWE Raw On Netflix Premiere Like A Standalone Event, Says Next Week Will Be More Episodic

Triple H compared Raw’s debut on Netflix to WrestleMania and explained how they will keep getting better.
The event marked the first time Raw was shown live on Netflix. Legends like Hulk Hogan, The Rock and The Undertaker all appeared in a show main evented by CM Punk beating Seth Rollins.
After the show, Triple H spoke in the Raw on Netflix post-show press conference, where he talked about the premiere. He compared it to a special event like WrestleMania, explaining how it was more of a standalone episode than most weeks.
He went on to say that the WWE will keep on trying to improve week-on-week, just as they have to do with every PLE in their calendar.
Triple H On Raw’s Debut On Netflix
“I think the thing we tried to do tonight, right or wrong, was because this had such, like, this vibe of a WrestleMania moment. We almost had to approach it as a standalone event.”
“There were a lot of things on here that—nothing ever ends here—but like, sort of the end of something, or the blowoff of something. This event within itself, there's things on here that a little bit led to next week and storyline-wise led to further things, but it wasn't necessarily about that.”
“I think when we get into next week's show, you'll see us get much more back into episodic TV. How things lead to the next. As far as 'How do you follow it?'—it's the question you ask after every big thing we do here. After every PLE event you do, when you get done with WrestleMania and you have two nights, you go, 'Oh great, we have to figure out how to beat that next year and be better than it was.'”
“I never want anything to be like, 'It was good, but it wasn't as good as the last thing.' We strive forward to be better. How do we make it better? The staff that's here. The talent that's here, the people that are here—we all work our ass off to make it better. That's the only way to do it.”
