One of the top stars in STARDOM Wrestling is Mina Shirakawa. She has also frequently competed in AEW. Recently, AEW’s President Tony Khan shared his thoughts on Shirakawa’s future in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
While speaking during the AEW Full Gear Media Call, Tony Khan opened up about Mina Shirakawa’s involvement in his company. He mentioned that Shirakawa is a huge asset for STARDOM and he also sees Shirakawa’s value and would love for her to continue working in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
"I am optimistic to keep Mina with us a lot. Mina Shirakawa fits in really well in AEW. And she has been a great great part of the show. We like to have her here as much as possible. So, coming up after Full Gear, I'm optimistic Mina Shirakava can join us more frequently. And we will see what that can be as far as her schedule with AEW and STARDOM simultaneously. We have a great relationship with STARDOM now. Love working with STARDOM and Mr. Okada and the great Bushido executives.
“Mina Shirakawa is a great star for STARDOM and also now a great star for AEW here in America and all over the world. So, I'm glad you asked because I feel that Mina Shirakawa adds a lot to AEW and I would like her to stay indefinitely, more regularly. And be with us more frequently. So thankfully, STARDOM is open to that and they've been very kind about opening their schedule up to us. So, I expect to see Mina Shirakawa a lot in AEW going forward," Khan said.
Shirakawa recently said she wants to stay Stateside until Mariah May’s "feelings of loneliness" are gone, so it appears that we’ll see more Mina sooner than later.
