TJPW held a buzzworthy Grand Princess 2025 show last March 16 featuring several blockbuster matchups and international competitors.

AEW‘s Willow Nightingale flew over for the show to face Miu Watanabe in a once-in-a-lifetime bout. Suzume defended her International Princess Title against her tag partner Arisu Endo, as Maki Itoh and Miyu Yamashita defended their Princess Tag Titles against Shoko Nakajima and Hyper Misao. And in the main event, Princess of Princess Champion Mizuki defended her belt against Rika Tatsumi: a grand slam champion in TJPW she has yet to face in singles action.

TJPW Grand Princess main event fallout

Mizuki successfully retained her Princess of Princess Championship against Rika Tatsumi. After the match, the champion gave her challenger a sign of respect following a highly competitive battle.

“She [Rika Tatsumi] accepted all of my love and I felt her straightforward love and madness. I thought this would be the end of something, but it feels like something new has begun. Please continue to love me forever,” Mizuki said on Twitter following the show. Her match with Rika was their first singles match with each other despite being two of TJPW’s most decorated and well-known competitors.
