Sting: 2025 Will Be My Last Year Appearing In Full Gear

The chances we have to see Sting dawn his full wrestling gear are unfortunately coming to an end.
Sting retired from in-ring competition last year at AEW Revolution, as he and Darby Allin defeated the Young Bucks to retain the AEW World Tag Team Titles. But another chapter of his legendary career will come to a close at the end of 2025.
The All Elite Wrestling star took to social media this afternoon to announce that 2025 will be his last year appearing in full gear on television or at signing events, tweeting out:
“I have enjoyed meeting fans at events around the world. As much as I have loved interacting with you all in the traditional Stinger war paint, I've decided that 2025 will be my last year appearing in full gear. I guess it's 2025 or never. Wow. Tough to speak that out,” Sting said in a post.
The Icon recently appeared at the AEW All In on-sale ticket event in full gear and teased appearing at AEW All In: Texas later this year.
