NXT Superstar Sol Ruca is one of the fastest-rising stars in WWE. Her signature move is a move that has received heaps of praise from a lot of people. Recently, the California-born star shared how her signature move, the Sol Snatcher, was created.
While speaking on the BWGS Podcast, Sol Ruca mentioned that she initially wanted to have the Sol Snatcher be a modified version of the Stunner. But then she modified it into a cutter.
"I have to do something that's in my background. In the gymnastics realm. And I was looking through my old videos of gymnastics and trying to think of like moves that I used to do in gymnastics that could somehow correlate to wrestling. And there's a move called a 'straddle back' that I used to do on bars, which is literally the exact same thing where you are flipping backwards and forwards kinda at the same time. I'm landing in a handstand, catching the bar.
“So, I'm like swinging on the high bar forward. And then I swing backward and I flip forward and then land in a handstand. Sounds crazy. It's a lot easier than it looks. And I was originally trying to do it as a Stunner,” Sol Ruca revealed. “However, landing on your butt like that, hurts really bad. I was workshopping it more and figured out that the Cutter was just the best way to like land in that position.”
Sol Ruca recently aligned herself with Zaria on NXT. She was also in singles action this week, challenging Chelsea Green for the WWE Women’s United States Championship. Catch up on everything that went down on NXT here.
