Report: Update On Drew McIntyre Following Dangerous Spot On WWE SmackDown

Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest used real glass last night on WWE SmackDown.
Last night on WWE SmackDown, Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest brawled in the parking garage. The brawl ended after Priest hit South of Heaven on McIntyre through a car windshield. Following the move, CM Punk walked by the car laughing as McIntyre claimed glass got in his eye.
Following SmackDown, McIntyre took to social media seemingly to poke fun at CM Punk’s past issues with Jack Perry in AEW, confirming the spot featured real glass, tweeting out:
“That was real glass… It got in my eye,” Drew McIntyre said in a post.
While many fans believed McIntyre was just joking around, a new report suggests otherwise.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, McIntyre did indeed get glass in his eye from this spot last night on SmackDown.

UPDATE: Johnson would provide an updated report hours later, stating that while something was removed from McIntyre’s eye following SmackDown. It turned out not to be glass.
