Bandido made his return at ROH Final Battle, but he reportedly suffered an injury at the show.

Former ROH World Champion Bandido had been sidelined with a wrist injury since June 2023. He had been shown in vignettes in recent weeks on AEW Dynamite. Bandido then appeared at ROH Final Battle on December 20. There, he made the save when The Learning Tree attacked Matt Cardona following his match with Chris Jericho.

Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline reports that Bandido suffered a concussion at the show when he hit his head doing a missile dropkick.

"We are told Bandido did suffer a concussion Friday night from landing on the back of his head doing a missile dropkick after the Chris Jericho win over Matt Cardona," Meltzer wrote in the latest daily update. "Obviously Jericho vs. Bandido was scheduled in an ROH title match at some point. With concussions, you don't know what it means as far as how long someone will be out of action."

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.

Tony Khan On Bandido

Khan commented on Bandido’s return at the ROH Final Battle post-show media scrum. He noted that he wanted to sign him when AEW first launched.

“We haven’t seen Bandido in action in a year and a half, so it was really great to see him back,” Tony Khan said. “It was great to get Bandido, who actually missed Final Battle ’21 due to COVID and we crowned an interim champion and then we crowned the undisputed champion at my first-ever event, Supercard. That was my first time working with Bandido.

“I really wanted to sign Bandido when we first launched AEW. And he actually made a choice, he stuck with ROH. He became a great World Champion for them and then when things changed in the world of wrestling and I acquired the company, Bandido became a great asset to AEW and ROH.”
