That’s a valid excuse. On occasion, WW will run some sort of a legends show. Those shows are often exactly what you would expect, with a group of former stars coming together to have a show full of special appearances. These shows can often be a lot of fun, but they can occasionally leave some odd moments. That appears to have been the case with a recent version.

Last week’s NXT was held at the 2300 Arena (formerly the ECW Arena) and featured a series of ECW legends appearing in a variety of roles. This included Francine appearing in a cameo where she waved to the crowd. During a recent edition of her Eyes Up Here podcast, Francine revealed that she was originally pitched the role of special referee for the match between Jaida Parker and Lola Vice, but she was unable to do so due to abdominal surgeries. She was also offered a backstage interview but her voice was “shot”. Therefore, she was left with the option of simply appearing before the crowd.

It was a special night. Check out some of the show:

Opinion: That does explain a few things as there was only so much WWE could do with Francine. While the cameo that she had wasn’t much to see, it was better than having her not show up whatsoever. Francine was an important part of ECW and having her around for a special moment like this was a good idea. It would have been nice to have her do something else, but this could have been worse.

What did you think of the show? Which cameo was the best? Let us know in the comments below.
