Matt and Jeff Hardy Share When They'll Be Cleared For TNA Return, Call Ryan Nemeth A 'Real Weird' Guy

Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy can’t wait to get a measure of revenge on Nic and Ryan Nemeth.
The Hardys spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard ahead of TNA’s upcoming television tapings in St. Joseph, Missouri. The last time fans saw The Hardys on TNA programming, the Nemeth Bros attacked the TNA Tag Team Champions at the conclusion of the TNA Sacrifice live special. TNA later announced the Hardys were two of several wrestlers who were not cleared to medically compete, but they say their return isn’t far off.
"Things are going a little better. Thankfully, due to the power of healing and the ice bath cold plunges, they've helped me make a miraculous return and repair. We're very upset," Matt explained. "Especially myself, with Nic Nemeth and also Ryan Nemeth. Obviously, that was a premeditated attack. And it was something they have been planning for a little bit. And they're definitely going to have to deal with the wrath of the Hardys."
"You will see us back in two weeks. [TNA] can keep us out for two weeks," Matt said, noting that they will still maintain a presence on the show through a pre-taped promo. "We did make a comment this week you'll see about the whole Nemeth scenario, and it's pretty strong. It's very much from the heart. And we're very serious in our tone. And I think the following week after that, we're cleared to be back at iMPACT. So, you'll see us on the program. And then you'll see us wrestling from there out."
The Hardys look forward to feuding with the Nemeth Brothers
Nic Nemeth claims he is the reason TNA is the place to be, and took issue with The Hardys swooping in and stealing the spotlight from him. Matt Hardy also shared the same sentiment as Nemeth, although he said it comes from feeling shunned or a place of jealousy. Despite their issues, the Hardys look forward to settling things in the ring with their new foes.
"And actually, [the Nemeths are] blood brothers, on top of it. Not like half brothers, not like the Dudleys. Not like Edge and Christian, but it is going to be neat. And it is something I think we are looking forward to," Matt explained.
"But the biggest thing was his brother, [who] is a very interesting character. I've had a very on-and-off relationship with him. I’ve been with him in another promotion… and he's a strange cat. He's a real weird cat. But it's interesting because everybody on the [10-man team at TNA Sacrifice] that myself and Joe Hendry were assembling didn't trust Ryan. So, that's why he wasn't on the team."
The Hardys call Ryan Nemeth a "weird cat"
Matt believes the way things played out, including picking Leon Slater over Ryan, also led to the Nemeths’ decision. However, Matt warned it’s one they will regret.
"I think between those two events, us kind of stealing Nic Nemeth's thunder in some capacity when it came to repping TNA, and also us not being so open to his very strange brother," Matt Hardy said. "That's the reason I think he made this move but at the end of the day, he's going to regret this. I promise."
"Yeah, people think I'm a little strange?" Jeff added. "Oh my God! This cat [Ryan Nemeth]. He is a different being. It was so strange to watch that footage back of the attack on the cage. And so, yeah. A brother feud it's going to be, it's on already."
