Kevin Owens Agrees To Face Cody Rhodes On WWE SmackDown

Kevin Owens explained why he has a problem with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, and Cody challenged him to a fight.
On the November 15 episode of WWE SmackDown, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes called Kevin Owens out after Owens took Randy Orton out with a piledriver. Nick Aldis said that the matter had to be handled internally.
Rhodes then went to the ring on the November 22 episode and called out Owens. Owens appeared in the crowd and noted that he was frustrated because he was summoned there, as it was what Rhodes requested.
Rhodes again told him to get in the ring, but Owens refused. Owens asked Rhodes if he wanted to fight him. He then asked Rhodes why he was so upset, as he said that what happened to Orton was Cody’s fault. Owens walked through the crowd and approached Owens while officials kept them separated.
Owens said that he fought the Bloodline for four years, and they tried to end his career. He noted that he stood by Rhodes, and he fought by his side, but Rhodes teamed up with Roman Reigns. Rhodes fired back by saying that Owens was playing the victim, as he was the one who held himself down. Rhodes highlighted Owens’ success and said that everyone saw it other than Owens.
Kevin Owens Agrees To Face Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes brought up their match at WWE Bash in Berlin, noting that Owens didn’t pull the trigger. He said that Owens had pulled the trigger on the wrong guy, and he emphasized that Orton did not deserve what Owens did. Rhodes said that Owens crossed the line, and he would beat a lesson into him, whether it was at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames or WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Owens said that Rhodes would get the match, but it would be whenever he said so. He noted that he loved Orton, but he hated Rhodes. Rhodes said that he thought that Owens hated himself, but either way, he would cross every line when they eventually faced each other.
As of this writing, there is no word on when Cody Rhodes will face Kevin Owens.
