JD McDonagh didn’t know he had a big head until British fans teased him mercilessly about it after leaving Ireland.
The Irishman is known for having quite a large head. This has been mentioned on WWE TV, where Cody Rhodes compared him to a Funko Pop. He hasn’t taken it to heart and used them to his advantage throughout his career, as he revealed on the latest episode of Insight.
JD McDonagh recently sat down with Chris Van Vliet and was asked about his larger-than-average-sized head. The Irishman revealed that he never knew he had a big head until he left Ireland for the UK when the fans all let him know about it.
JD McDonagh used fans chants to his advantage
“When I left Ireland, honestly, I'd never heard a bad word against it—until I left. Then, when I was wrestling in the UK, I started hearing it.” JD McDonagh said.
“I don't know if you've seen any UK soccer matches, but the fans are so creative with their chants—it's just a UK thing. So I was getting chants like 'He's Got the Whole World in His Head, He's Got the Whole World in His Head.' They had loads of chants for me.”
“And then I just kind of… yeah, played into it. That's all you can do. I even had a headbutt as a finisher for a little while, you know? I've always been diving off the top rope headfirst,” he added.
McDonagh recently gave an update on his health and when he hopes to return from being sidelined for broken ribs and a punctured lung.
