Inaugural WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion Crowned On WWE RAW

The inaugural WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion was crowned on the January 13th episode of WWE RAW.

On Monday’s episode of WWE AW, Dakota Kai faced Lyra Valkyria in the finals of the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament. The two stars battled back and forth in a hard-fought match. In the end, Valkyria hit the Nightwing for the win and became the inaugural WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

With the win, Lyra Valkyria won her first singles title on the main roster. She is a former NXT Women’s Champion.

Valkyria previously defeated Zelina Vega and Ivy Nile to advance to the semifinals of the tournament. She then beat IYO SKY in the tournament semifinals.
