Hulk Hogan's Daughter Brooke Says She Suffered Abuse Since Childhood, Is No-Contact With Her Parents

Brooke Hogan responds to Linda and explains why she went no contact with Linda and Hulk Hogan.

Linda Hogan recently made waves when she called out her ex-husband, WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan. She stated that she had not spoken to Brooke in years due to the rift in the family. She also opened up about her marriage with the WWE legend.

In a lengthy post on Instagram, Brooke Hogan responded to Linda’s comments. She stated that she had made herself smaller in her career in order to dodge the negativity surrounding her family. Brooke said that Linda’s comments compelled her to address “the tip of a very large iceberg”, referring to her family. Brooke wrote that the video was mild compared to behavior that she had witnessed throughout her life. She said that Linda had been through a lot of trauma and pain.

Brooke then said that she had not spoken her truth enough before, but she wanted to speak up now. First, she said that she had separate reasons for going no contact with her parents. Brooke said that going no contact with her mother had nothing to do with her father, and vice versa. She stated that the decision was made based on how each of them had dealt with her.

Brooke Hogan Opens Up

Brooke then wrote, “I have been extremely verbally and mentally abused since childhood. Sadly, it would frequently turn physical. And sometimes, it’s not by the person you would assume, abuse comes in all shapes and sizes.”

Brooke stated that this vicious pattern has robbed her of any sense of self-esteem or confidence.” She said that it took her years to figure out that what had seemingly been done for her actually benefited someone else in a greater capacity. Brooke went on to state that, up until adulthood, she had received “berating and vile text messages, verbal and public reamings with unbelievably hurtful words said to me that cannot be forgotten.”

She then said that she had been asked to defend “poor behavior to the public and have done so out of love.” Brooke stated that she found out she was misinformed, manipulated, and lied to. She said that she still faced constant ridicule for the poor decisions of others. Brooke wrote that she had watched others benefit financially off her suffering and embarrassment, which was caused by their selfish behavior. She noted that she stayed strong and silent, even as her life crumbled.

Brooke went on to write that she was expected to forgive “massive blows to her career and personal life, nasty behavior, omissions of truth, blatant lies, manipulation, and repetitive errors in hopes of renewing previous family bonds.” She claimed that she had been used as a pawn, a buffer, and she had been treated like she was stupid as well. Brooke said that nobody should experience something like that.

Brooke Hogan On Her Family

Hogan then said that she dealt with smear campaigns and enablers, and she saw “fake win over what’s real.” She said that she lost other family members and friends in an attempt to stop gossip and ongoing drama.” Brooke wrote that many others witnessed this behavior and never took action, but she saw them stick around for the money, the association to fame, and the freebies. She said that she gave this all up, as it was never important to her. Brooke then wrote that her family was very skilled at war.

Brooke’s post continued as she said that she wanted to see good in them, protect, help, and start anew, but she was just disrespected again and again. Brooke wrote that she longed for a normal family, but it never came to fruition. She then said that she had held her hand out to help then, only to get pulled into the darkness with them. Brooke wrote that the boundaries that she set were not respected, and she could do no more at this point.

Brooke Hogan: It Ends Now

Hogan then wrote that she had been to therapy, and she was doing the work. She said that each individual had given her more than enough reasons to end contact, which was a very hard and painful decision. Brooke wrote that she loved them with every fiber of her being, and her heart hurt every day. She went on to say that part of her still wanted and needed her mom and dad, but their behavior became more painful than their absence. Brooke expressed her hope that they would one day realize and respect why she has remained quiet, as she wanted to protect them. She said that cycles must be broken, and it had to stop.

Hogan ended her message by saying that life was precious, and she wanted to enjoy what was important. She wrote that she hoped everyone could give her the chance to do that without injecting more poison into her life.
