And new! There are all kinds of titles and championships under the WWE banner and it can be a huge deal when one of them changes hands. Someone winning a championship for the first time can be a game changer for their career and you never know when you are going to see a title change take place. That has taken place again, but you won’t be seeing it for a little while.

As revealed on Twitter, Dragon Lee defeated Andrade to win the WWE Speed Championship this week at the SmackDown taping before the show went on the air. This marks Lee’s first title on the main roster, following an NXT North American Title win. Andrade is the second champion in the title’s history, winning the title on June 7. The title change is set to air at some point in the future on Speed, which airs Wednesdays at noon EST on Twitter.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that might not mean much for the main stories in WWE as the Speed Title is not often presented as something important, but it is better than nothing. At the very least, Lee is a good choice to take the title, as his faster paced style suits it rather well. The title continues to be little more than something to fill in time before WWE TV tapings and that is not a bad thing to see.
