Different Kind Of Ring: Rhea Ripley And Buddy Matthews Get Married!

They did it! Wrestlers have rather complicated schedules, with their work taking them all over the place for one show after another. There is only so much that can be done with so much going on, making personal lives all the more complicated. Every so often you will see someone make it work though, and that appears to be the case with two rather prominent wrestling stars.

WWE’s Rhea Ripley has announced on Instagram that she and AEW’s Buddy Matthews were recently married. There is no word on when or where the wedding took place. The two had been dating since 2022 and have been engaged since last August. Ripley is currently out of action due to a shoulder injury while Matthews was briefly written off AEW television due to an attack at the hands of the Patriarchy.

Opinion: Congratulations! This is something you do not get to see happen very often but it is still amazing to hear. Ripley and Matthews seem to be happy together and if this is what they want, good for them, as it is hard enough for anyone to get married, let alone active wrestlers. Hopefully they get everything they want out of this, as that is what matters most in this whole thing.
