Last year, former AEW TNT Champion Darby Allin was set to climb Mount Everest. But unfortunately, he got injured about a month before climbing the mountain. Now, in April, Allin is going to attempt to climb Mount Everest once again.

While speaking to Denise Salcedo following the AEW All In Texas Countdown show, Darby Allin shared that he feels very good, prepared, and more exciting than before to climb Mount Everest.

"I feel good. I wanted to do it. But when it got taken away from me, I really want to do it now. I feel like the timing and just everything going into it, I feel a lot more like, 'All right. I got this, I got this.' It's gonna be exciting. It's a lot of work. And to do that in the middle of, full time with AEW. It's a tricky, very very tricky thing to maneuver but I've… I feel I'm ready, I can handle a lot."

Allin also shared that his friend and former tag team partner Sting tried to talk him out of climbing the mountain. He also shared that he is extremely grateful that AEW has allowed him to climb the mountain.

"He's tried. But he knows that I really want to do it. So he's like, 'All right man. If you are on a vision quest, you wanna do something, go do it. So, I feel like to me, climbing Mount Everest, there's so many things that goes into it. I really feel like it's a journey.

“Because when you are in that climbing a mountain like that, you don't have the energy to talk like we have right now. We're talking back and forth, you can't waste that energy. You have to hold… So, you are just alone with your thoughts on this mountain for essentially two months. And I feel like it's a very humbling experience. And I want to always dig deep down inside and remind myself of what I am capable of and who I am. I'm very excited for that opportunity to do with Everest and very grateful that AEW is letting me do this in the middle of my career," Allin said.
