-- A former world champion and wrestling legend is set to retire, perhaps already having wrestled his last match.

-- Fightfulselect.com's Sean Ross Sapp is reporting that Christopher Daniels is retiring from in-ring competition immediately after having lost to Hangman Adam Page at the Collision tapings last night. The match will air on tomorrow's episode and is set to serve as Daniels' retirement match. The report notes that Daniels has been looking to have a final match and step away from the ring for "quite some time."

-- Daniels has competed virtually everywhere and his resume includes stints with AEW, NJPW, ROH, TNA/IMPACT, WWF, ECW, AAA, MLW, CMLL and many more promotions. On the indie scene where he is known in circles as the "King of Indies" and the the 54-year old is a veteran of over 30 years in professional wrestling and has held multiple titles mainly with ROH and IMPACT. Daniels remains Head of Talent Relations in AEW and presumably will continue with the company in that capacity after retirement.
