Contract Update On Matt Cardona Following Big Matchup Against Chris JerichoJoey G.

Matt Cardona has been making appearances for Ring of Honor, but he's not officially signed with AEW according to Fightful Select.

Cardona's most recent high-profile match took place at ROH Final Battle, where he faced Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship but came up short. Leading up to the event, he had a series of matches and appearances, but the report has confirmed that Cardona is still not currently under contract with AEW.

When we asked him about his status, Cardona clarified, "I'm signed to the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast." As for speculation regarding a potential return to Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), Cardona confirmed that he has no contract with them either. Aside from a deal with Nick Gage, GCW doesn't typically work under formal contracts.

After his match at Final Battle, Cardona suffered an ankle injury and needed assistance to the back. He was seen using crutches following the event but remains optimistic about his recovery and hopes the injury won't sideline him for long.
