CM Punk Would Welcome Facing The Rock And John Cena 'With Open Arms'

CM Punk would welcome a match against John Cena or The Rock this year in WWE.
On Raw’s debut on Netflix last night, CM Punk kicked off the year with a big win. He beat Seth Rollins in the show’s main event before declaring himself as part of the 2025 Royal Rumble match.
While he is intent to become a champion again in 2025, matches with two of the WWE’s top stars would be something he would welcome. He has wrestled both men multiple times in the past, although the result rarely went Punk’s way.
Speaking at the Raw post-show press conference, CM Punk was asked about potentially facing The Rock and John Cena in 2025. The former WWE Champion admitted he wanted to win titles but would welcome the “fat paychecks” that come with matches against Cena and The Rock.
He added that Cena “looks like”, teasing hitting him with the Go To Sleep. Punk also said he’d see him in Indianapolis in the Royal Rumble match. He finished second behind Cody Rhodes in last year’s event, so CM Punk will be hoping to go one better and finally get his WrestleMania main event for the first time.
“I think I want gold around my waist. But those two names come with big fat paychecks, so I’m not gonna say no to it.” CM Punk told the crowd of reporters.
“Could be interesting. I wouldn’t say no to it. I’m into the big high-pressure money situations. I think that’s when I come alive. I definitely owe The Rock. Definitely owe John. I would welcome both of them with open arms. I saw John, passed him in the hallway; he looked a little tired, looked like he needed to go to sleep. I’m sure I’ll see him in Indianapolis (the site of the 2025 Royal Rumble).” CM Punk added.
