CM Punk has a vision for his post-retirement life.

Currently, CM Punk is eyeing a world championship as well as the main event of WWE WrestleMania 41. When his in-ring career is all said and done, though, where does he see himself? During a recent appearance on Night Cap, Punk provided an answer.

“I do think there’s an avenue for me to continue to be in the business behind the scenes helping,” Punk said. “But I think if you’re worth your weight, you’re doing that now. I think on a football team on a hockey team on a baseball team, there’s the veterans that help bring in the new talent, the young guys, and they help move things along.

“[There’s] three parts to a career,” he continued. “When you start, to me that’s when you learn. There’s the middle part, that’s where you earn, and the third part is return, now you give back. So I would definitely look forward to that third act and giving back to the business to me has given me so much.”

Since returning to WWE in November 2023, “The Second City Saint” has spent most of his time on WWE’s main roster. He has, however, also spent a fair amount of time helping the rising stars in NXT, both on-screen and behind-the-scenes. Notable mentees of his include NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade, and Nikkita Lyons.

Most recently, CM Punk defeated Seth Rollins in the main event of this week’s episode WWE Raw, which marked the show’s official premiere on Netflix.
