CM Punk Jokes About Only Doing Cage Matches After WWE Loss in Vienna

CM Punk might be just weeks away from the biggest match of his WWE return, but that's not stopping him from making jokes—especially after getting locked inside another steel cage.
The Second City Saint was part of WWE's recent live event in Vienna, Austria, where he faced Gunther inside a steel cage for the World Heavyweight Championship. Spoiler alert—it didn't go Punk's way. After the match, Punk hopped on Instagram to thank the crowd and poke fun at his new streak of brutal matchups.
"I strictly do cage matches now. No biggie. Thank You Vienna!" Punk wrote in his story, clearly leaning into the trend of getting locked in with top-tier opponents—and coming out on the losing end.
This wasn't Punk's first steel cage loss to Gunther. The two previously clashed in similar fashion, and Punk also dropped a cage match to Seth Rollins at Madison Square Garden after Roman Reigns decided to stick his nose in the action.
Still, despite the setbacks, Punk isn't letting the L's ruin his momentum. He's heading into WrestleMania 41 for the biggest match of his WWE comeback—a triple threat against Reigns and Rollins that finally puts him in the main event spot he's chased for years.
The real question now? Will Punk keep joking about cage matches—or is he manifesting a new specialty?
