Bobby Lashley made his long-awaited AEW debut at AEW Fright Night Dynamite.
In the main event on Wednesday, Swerve Strickland defeated Shelton Benjamin. After the match, MVP, who was at ringside, called someone. The lights came out, and when they came back on, Bobby Lashley made his entrance. He stepped into the AEW ring for the first time after he hugged MVP. Lashley stared Strickland down before he dropped him with a cheap shot.
Lashley and Benjamin then ganged up on Strickland, and they also attacked Strickland. MVP stood tall with them and said, “Guess who’s back in business?”
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reported that Lashley signed with AEW in September, even before MVP debuted at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, There was discussion of having his debut at AEW WrestleDream, but this was decided against.
