Deonna Purrazzo hasn't been seen on AEW Dynamite much lately, and fans have been wondering what's going on. Despite her undeniable talent and past success, the former multi-time champion has found herself off AEW's flagship show—and now we finally have some answers.

During a Q&A episode of Fightful Select's podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Purrazzo's recent absence and whether her college schedule was a factor. Sapp shut that theory down quickly.

"Her college obligations have never interfered with her AEW bookings or anything like that," Sapp confirmed, adding that one of the perks promoted by SNHU (Southern New Hampshire University) is its flexibility to accommodate a working schedule.

So, what's the real reason Deonna's not featured? Sapp revealed, "She's made pitches creatively, but as of now, there aren't immediate creative plans for her or the Vendetta." That includes the rumored third member of The Virtuosa's faction, which Sapp clarified was never actually in the cards. "There was never an actual plan to add a member to the Vendetta, and that was only thrown out there to add intrigue."

It also looks like her crossover work with CMLL has hit a pause. While Deonna had previously teamed up with talent like Taya Valkyrie, Sapp noted, "CMLL had Lady Frost team with Taya instead of Deonna, so she hasn't had those bookings of late, either." As for whether CMLL will use Deonna again anytime soon, he said, "We haven't heard of plans within CMLL to use Deonna imminently."

In short, Deonna's ready to go—but it's AEW that doesn't currently have anything lined up for her. She's putting in the work, she's pitching ideas, but for now, it's a waiting game.

Do you think AEW is missing out by not featuring Deonna Purrazzo more prominently? Should she be next in line for a major push? Drop your thoughts in the comments—we want to hear what you think.
