Athena And Ring Of Honor Celebrate A Historic Milestone

The Forever Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Athena is celebrating a historic milestone today.

Ring of Honor took to social media this afternoon to congratulate Athena on reaching 500 days as Women’s World Champion, tweeting out:

“Congratulations to @AthenaPalmer_FG for reaching the milestone of 500 days as the #ROH Women's World Champion,” Ring of Honor said in a post.

Mercedes Martinez previously held the longest reign as Women’s World Champion in Ring of Honor at 220 days.

Athena chose a unique way to celebrate her 500-day reign as champion by announcing that she’d be doing a live stream on her Twitch channel, tweeting out:

“@ringofhonor Today we stream!!! 500 days officially as you #ForeverROHChamp and #MinionOverlord ! I will be unboxing a #Gift from @NintendoAmerica and giving away a console!!! Come celebrate with me around 4pm cst!! http://Twitch.tv/halfdragonap.” Athena said in a post.

The Minion Overlord last successfully defended her championship at Supercard of Honor earlier this month over former three-time AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida.
