The feud between AJ Styles and Cody Rhodes has reached a boiling point.

On the June 14 episode of WWE SmackDown, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes came out to discuss his “I Quit” match with AJ Styles at WWE Cash at the Castle. Styles came out and highlighted how Cody Rhodes was no stranger to quitting. He stated that Cody had quit NJPW and ROH. He also referenced AEW by saying that Cody helped start up a company but he quit it.

Rhodes responded by delivering a passionate message about how he had never been afraid to walk away to chase something greater, as he had bet on himself. Rhodes said that AJ quit on himself, and he would make him say he quits. They kept going back and forth, and Styled vowed to do whatever it took to win the gold.
