-- Hip hop star Megan Thee Stallion's song "Neva Play" was debuted on Friday as the new opening theme for WWE Smackdown after the show underwent a revamp with new music and a new logo since moving to the USA Network. PWInsider.com reports that before Megan's song hit WWE TV, there were expectations that she would be partnering with Mercedes Mone in AEW.

-- The story ads that in February, Megan Thee Stallion and Mone met at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in Japan as they were mutual fans of one another's works. That led to negotiations between managers of both talents - Mike B of Roc Nation repping Megan and Keven Undergaro on behalf of Mone. It is believed that at some point the two sides agreed to do something together an Mone publicly teased the idea of collaborating with Megan while promoting All In in London, even going as so far as suggesting that she would get Stallion in a ring for a match.

-- After Mone went public, WWE made their deal to have Megan's song Neva Play featured on Smackdown and this reportedly caught the Mone circle "by surprise" though it's unclear if that alliance is dead in the water or can still go forward given WWE's involvement and any potential exclusivity clauses that may exist.
