Vito Puopolo defeated Indi Lotey 5-0 in the final of the latest WPBSA Q Tour Americas series event at The Corner Bank in Toronto, Canada.

The victory saw Canada’s Puopolo lift the second Q Tour title of his career after winning the event on home soil at the same venue twelve months ago.

A total of 16 players took part in the event staged in Canada’s most populous city and Puopolo dropped just a single frame on the opening day as he overcame Ravi Sundriyal (4-0) and James Power (4-1) to reach the semi-finals.

The last four was made up of a quartet of Canadians, including the two finalists from last year’s Q Tour event in Toronto – Puopolo and Jason Williams.

Puopolo defeated Levi Meiller 4-2 to reach the title match while Lotey overcame Williams in a deciding frame to reach the first Q Tour final of his career.

The eventual champion Puopolo, who played at the Crucible Theatre in 2023 as a qualifier for the World Seniors Championship, proved too strong for his fellow countryman as he ran out a 5-0 victor to secure the title.
