A former WWE star did very well competing in BJJ, taking double gold medals at the 2025 IBJJF Pan Jiu-jitsu Championship.

UFC legend Demetrious Johnson wasn't the only crossover star dabbling at the 2025 IBJJF Pan Jiu-jitsu Championship. Tom Pestock, better known to pro-wrestling fans as Baron Corbin, won big this past week as he competed at the major Brazilian jiu-jitsu event.

The former WWE United States Champion signed up at the purple belt Master 3 division, which is for ages 40 and up. Listed at 6-foot-8, Corbin impressed at both the ultra-heavyweight and absolute divisions, winning five matches in total and taking home double gold medals (HT: JitsMagazine).

"Double gold at the IBJJF Pans!! Purple belt has been good to me!! Let's go!!!" the former WWE star wrote on Instagram.

Baron Corbin, now 40, was recently promoted to purple belt and made his debut in the division two weeks prior to the IBJJF Pans. He has repeatedly competed in jiu-jitsu tournaments in the past, even at lower belts, but taking double gold at one of the four major IBJJF events would be his biggest achievement in the sport so far.

Here's footage of his purple belt debut from earlier in March, where he won by scarf hold armlock.

Pestock parted ways with WWE recently, after his contract expired last November. He is currently wrestling in the independent circuit as "Bishop Dyer."

Prior to his pro-wrestling career, the 6-foot-8 athlete was also an amateur golden gloves boxing champion and undrafted NFL player.
