McGregor didn't punch any fans in the mosh pit, but he did get an earful from the crowd at a Limp Bizkit concert in his hometown.
Conor McGregor is an increasingly unpopular figure in his home country of Ireland. These day the Irish sports star can't even muster up a cheer from fans at a Limp Bizkit concert.
McGregor hasn't fought since breaking his leg badly against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. Since then he's been involved in a number of high profile incidents that have tarnished his reputation.
He was investigated by police after he encouraged rioters in Dublin to burn buildings holding migrants to the ground. He lost a civil suit in Ireland for sexual assault and had another civil lawsuit for sexual assault filed in Miami. And then he capped it all off by declaring Irish fighter Paul Hughes wasn't really Irish because he's from Derry in the North.
"Up the real Irish, f— these vermin f—s," he wrote in a since-deleted tweet.

This is just a small selection from an ever-growing list of gross behavior from McGregor. This week's example of behavior that make you go 'Hmmm' was Conor's excitement for a Limp Bizkit concert in Dublin on March 11th.
"Who's going to Limp Bizkit in Ireland tomorrow?" McGregor wrote on social media. "I'll be bang in the center of the moshpit if anyone's looking for their jaw broke and their teeth sent!"
Yes, that's McGregor challenging everyone in Dublin to come get some if they dare. We have no reports of any actual violence, but there is footage of McGregor getting heartily booed by the crowd when namedropped by Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst.

McGregor was reportedly booed twice over the course of the concert, which fits considering what we've heard of his reputation amongst the general public in the country. He may still be one of the biggest sports stars in the world, but he's generated so much bad press locally at this point that we wonder how much longer he'll put off a reported move to Florida.
As for the fighting career of "The Notorious," McGregor hasn't been able to get a whiff of a fight since withdrawing from UFC 303 with a broken pinky toe. Since then it's been nothing but big announcements that haven't panned out.
He recently tried to drum up interest in a boxing match against Logan Paul in India, only to be shut down by UFC management. Now the new rumor being teased by those around him is he'll be returning in the fall to help promote UFC parent company TKO and Turki Alalshikh's new boxing league.
Is this true or just more wishful matchmaking from McGregor? You can never tell these days, sadly.
