Fight fans witnessed a rarity earlier today (Sat., Mar. 29, 2025) at Fight Club Rush 23 LIVE on UFC Fight Pass from Vasteras, Sweden, when Delmar Silva finished his opponent with a "Dogbar" kneebar.

Silva, who was 6-11 and riding a four-fight losing streak entering this weekend, was matched up against Swedish prospect Nabil Malki, who was just 2-1 in his professional MMA career. It wasn't a matchup that stood out even on a random MMA card from Sweden, but that's usually when great things happen.

It took Silva little time to close the distance and grapple Malki along the cage. "King Dell" eventually locked up one of Malki's legs and began to attack the knee. This wasn't any ordinary kneebar as Silva used his legs and hips to push down from top position and put immense pressure on Malki's leg. It was pretty nasty as Malki was immediately forced to tap.

The "Dogbar" finish can be seen in the above video player.

Silva, who has a heel hook and rear-naked choke finish on his record, couldn't have asked for a better way to end a horrid losing streak. This was one of the best submission finishes we'll see all year and something we may not see again for quite some time.

Below is an explanation of the rare submission finish from none other than Craig Jones:
