'Nurmagomedovs are not fighters'… Conor McGregor's scathing reaction to Usman Nurmagomedov vs Paul Hughes

Conor McGregor ripped into the entire Nurmagomedov family after watching his countryman Paul Hughes suffer a first defeat under the PFL banner.
The former two-weight world champion has been a big supporter of Hughes over the years. And tonight’s PFL show in Dubai was sold as the second part of his historic rivalry with Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Unfortunately for Hughes, the Irish came up short once again in their battle with Dagestan as Usman Nurmagomedov landed a controversial majority decision in Dubai. There have been immediate calls for a rematch, and many are branding it ‘fight of the year’ despite it being only January.

Usman Nurmagomedov defeats Paul Hughes in final Bellator title fight
In what was billed as the second battle between Ireland and Dagestan, the Emerald Isle came up short on three occasions tonight in Dubai. Kenny Mokhonoana and Nathan Kelly were defeated by Ibragim Ibragimov and Akhmed Magomedov respectively on the undercard before the big fight.
And despite a thrilling five-round affair, Paul Hughes was unable to dethrone the undefeated Usman Nurmagomedov in the main event. The Irishman battled the takedown brilliantly but left his big offence too late as he slumped to a second ever career defeat.
However, there were many who felt that, particularly with a point deduction, he had done enough to earn at least a draw. Nurmagomedov has immediately told Bloody Elbow that he has no interest in a rematch, and wants Hughes to win multiple fights before they can compete again.

Immediately after the fact, Khabib Nurmagomedov was able to get in the cage and give his thoughts on the events. But it wasn’t until Bloody Elbow contacted Conor McGregor on social media that he offered an opinion on what had happened.
He believes that Hughes did enough to get the victory, and tore into the entire Nurmagomedov family in a brutal assessment. “Tremendous fight and performance,” McGregor wrote in response to Bloody Elbow questioning.
“Easy win for Hughes, he DOMINATED THAT FIGHT. And Umar [Usman] exactly what it says on the tin, a Nurmagamedov. Runner, sprinter, bolter, scarper, scurrying ‘fighter’.
“The Nurmagomedovs are not fighters. They are the most non fighting fighters out of Dagestan and all time. Run away around the cage and shoot ass b****es.Dagestan is better than the Nurmagomedovs and that is a FACT!”
