Chad Ochocinco could have a huge challenge on his hands, with Mike Perry offering to give the football icon an opportunity to fight for the Dirty Boxing Championship.

On Saturday evening, at The Hangar at Regatta Harbour in Miami, Florida, USA, the company, now co-owned by Jon Jones, hosted a card headlined by Yoel Romero and 6ft6 Ras Hylton.

The last few months haven’t been easy for the UFC heavyweight champion, with many accusing him of ducking the interim title holder. Colby Covington says Jones is asking for an unreasonable figure to fight Tom Aspinall.

But last night, he could forget about that and get lost in the chaos of an entertaining event.

Mike Perry calls out Chad Ochocinco

Before Romero destroyed his significantly taller opponent, Brian Maxwell suffered a tough defeat to Ulysses Diaz after his opponent landed several shots to the back of the head.

Prior to his ring walk, the commentary team reminisced over the American’s draw against NFL star Chad Ochocino on the Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul undercard.

Since their bout, in which the former wide receiver hit the canvas in the fourth round, the pair have maintained a close relationship.

This brought a smile to Mike Perry’s face, who’d love to fight the ex-Cincinnati Bengals star for a championship belt.

During the broadcast, ‘Platinum’ said: “That’s cool, I’m happy to hear that. Shout out Ochocinco. He’s always fooling around, thinks he knows how to fight.

“Why don’t you come over here to Dirty Boxing? We’ll give you a fight Ochocinco. You and me can fight for the Dirty Boxing world title, any time you ready. You and Shannon Sharpe, come and see us.”

Shawne Merriman calls out James Harrison for blockbuster fight

Whether Ochocinco takes Perry up on the offer remains to be seen. However, the NFL icon would love to return to combat sports, recently discussing a potential fight with James Harrison.

This caught the attention of Shawne Merriman, who’s now revealed he’d love to take on ‘Mr Monday Night’ himself.

After growing up boxing, the Chargers fan favorite fell in love with MMA through training with Randy Couture, and has since started his own promotion ‘Lights Out Xtreme Fighting’.

Now, Merriman would love to test his skills in a match-up with Harrison.
