MMA fighters react to LA Dodgers winning World Series

The World Series is often one of the hottest sporting events of the year, but the 2024 rendition of the tournament was a complete blowout in favor of the LA Dodgers.
Superstar Shohei Ohtani has been a revelation since his move over to the Dodgers, helping lead the team to the World Series — his first in the MLB. In the closing game of the finals and with the entire nation watching, the Dodgers mounted a comeback from 5-0 down to shock the Yankees, eventually winning 7-6 to close out the series.
This was just the second time in almost four decades that the Los Angeles Dodgers have managed to get their hands on the World Series. Understandably, the UFC and MMA world had a lot to say after witnessing the complete meltdown from the New York Yankees to hand their opposition the 4-1 finals victory.

In celebration of their World Series win, Nike released a great ad dedicated to the LA Dodgers. This caught the attention of popular MMA figure Ariel Helwani.
"That might have been the best of the Nike ads moments after winning a title. Bravo," Helwani said regarding Nike's World Series ad.

The LA Dodgers have a large following, and although they were favorites to win the World Series from the opening game of the 2024 season, they did have to overcome many challenges to eventually lift the championship and make their supporters proud.
The Yankees were looking to add to their legacy of being the most decorated franchise in the competition's history. The New York side have racked up an amazing 27 wins but couldn't get their 28th over the line against the powerhouses from Los Angeles.
While Shohei Ohtani is the biggest star in the sport at present, it was Freddie Freeman who dominated in the World Series, rightfully taking home the MVP award.
