John Fury ignites on-stage brawl with Darren Till after the ex-UFC star suggested Tommy has 'the IQ of a loaf of bread'

Former UFC title challenger Darren Till returns to action in a few months' time; not in the MMA octagon, but in the boxing ring against reality TV star and professional boxer Tommy Fury.
Yet two months before they eventually clash in the boxing ring, the pair of British combat sports stars almost came to blows earlier today after John Fury decided to throw a bottle of water over the ex-UFC fighter.
John Fury ignites brawl at the Tommy Fury vs Darren Till press conference
Former UFC superstar Darren Till has taken a break from MMA for a quick venture into the world of exhibition boxing, with his debut fight earlier this year ending in an unusual brawl after his opponent feigned an injury just a few minutes into the second round.
Despite the controversial ending to that bout, 'The Gorilla' is keen to lace up the boxing gloves once again and will face Tommy 'TNT' Fury in the main event of MF & DAZN X Series 20 in January 2025.
A few hours ago, the press conference for Tommy Fury vs Darren Till was held; although it was a rather dull and cringy affair, at least we did get some entertainment towards the end.
For the most part, the event was nice and respectful; that was until Till suggested that he could end the bout with a high kick – prompting John Fury to get involved, calling the Liverpudlian 'a disgrace to his city' and 'pig eyed'.
To be fair, Till accepted that he wasn't exactly the nicest of people, although it wasn't until he suggested that Tommy had "the IQ of a loaf of bread" that John snapped.
As words were exchanged on both sides, the elder statesman would launch a bottle of water across the desk – over KSI and Ben Davies – at the former UFC welterweight title challenger.
Security was forced to intervene, with Darren Till attempting to move around the desk to throw down with both of the furious Furys: "What are you going to do?!"
Darren Till reacts to press conference brawl as he sends ominous message to Fury
Speaking via Fight Hub TV, Darren Till slammed the Fury family as he gave his immediate reaction to the press conference altercation.
"If they want to go, they want to go innit – Little John hasn't been seen or heard from for months so what's he chatting mate, I'd absolutely put him in the ground."
Despite stating that "It is what it is mate, this is the fight game," Till was itching to throw down with anyone and everyone whose last name ended in Fury.
"I'm going to break him, I want to break him in half – imma go after them all, the whole family. It's me versus them, it's Darren Till on his own against [all of] them.
"It's never personal, I don't hold any ill-will towards him or John, I wish them the best of health… They were being respectful, but I can't help myself, you know?"
Darren Till vs Tommy Fury goes down live via DAZN on January 18, 2025, from the Co-Op Arena in Manchester, England.
