BKFC is rapidly becoming an extremely popular rival promotion to the UFC and this past Saturday’s Knuckle Mania 5 event only heightened its popularity.
Since Conor McGregor surprisingly became a part-owner of BKFC, the promotion has seen rapid growth after putting several incredible fights together.
This past Saturday in Philadelphia was no different when the promotion hosted their Knuckle Mania 5 event, including an incredible fight between former UFC stars, Eddie Alvarez and Jeremy Stephens.

Jeremy Stephens gets emotional following BKFC win
‘Lil Heathen’ and Alvarez despite both being in the UFC during the same era fought in different weight classes throughout their tenures, meaning they never clashed inside the Octagon.
Despite that, the MMA fanbase knew that the fight between the former UFC lightweight champion and the ever-gritty Stephens would be guaranteed fireworks.
Stephens went on to score the third round TKO after Alvarez’s corner team pulled him out of the fight after sustaining bad damage to his face.
Following the fight, the 38-year-old victor fought back tears as he got emotional about the things he had been through to get to this point.
“It’s too good to be true, baby, I created this moment a lot of people don’t know is I made this happen here in Philly, it’s truly amazing to come here and go against everybody, my own promoters were doubting me, everyone was against me,” Stephens told The Schmo.
“Very few people really had my back but I’ve been in the darkness for so f****** long bro, me and my wife have gone through a lot of s*** man, lost my baby the last month, I’ve been broke, took a pay cut to get this opportunity and I wanted to turn delusion into reality.
“I’ve been a monster man and it was good to bring that monster out to light and get paid for it,” he continued.
Jeremy Stephens calls out Conor McGregor for BKFC fight
Following Stephens’ impressive victory, promoter and part-owner, McGregor stepped into the ring and declared that he wants to fight ‘Lil Heathen’ next.
Of course, the two have a well-documented history with each other as McGregor famously said ‘Who the f*** is that guy?’ during the UFC 205 press conference when Stephens called him out.
The two went head-to-head in a face-off as ‘The Notorious’ implored Dave Feldman to make a date for the fight, likely forgetting his contractual obligations with the UFC.
“Cocaine Conor’s got to step up big dog, I mean, where you at, dude? I’ve been consistent doing this s*** so, it’s on you bro, balls in my court, I want the cheque and I’m gonna break some more necks, I make people quit in here,” he continued.
