'He Might Be On The Spectrum'

UFC middleweight Kevin Holland is no stranger to "mental breakdowns."
Holland was a guest on the JAXXON Podcast earlier this month and had a tense confrontation with host and former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson, at one point telling "Rampage" to "shut the f*ck up." Fortunately, Jackson was able to keep his cool and the session ended without any additional drama.
"I had to be real professional," Jackson said. "I was real proud of myself. You just don't tell another man, 'shut the f*ck up' without violence being threatened. I'm like, I'm gonna be the bigger guy, he's got a fight this weekend. I cared about his fight and I don't want to lose my temper, fight him and get in trouble, and Dana White gets mad at me because sometimes you got to be the bigger person in times like that."
Holland went on to lose his UFC 311 fight by first-round submission.
"You know, Kevin is ... he's an interesting cat," former UFC middleweight champion and frequent JAXXON guest, Luke Rockhold, told Submission Radio. "He might be on the spectrum a little bit. I love Kevin, but you know ... yeah I wasn't there for that one. I don't understand where the country calibration came from. So that was that was different. I don't know why. I don't know how it relates to 'shut the f*ck up' Doesn't make much sense. People are stretching these days. If you're going to fight, you should be thinking about fighting, not calibers. You can't bring a gun to a sword fight."
Following his dismal performance at UFC 311, which sent Holland to his fourth loss within his last five fights, the 32 year-old "Trailblazer" (26-13, 1 NC) admitted his recent stretch has been "trash" and vowed to make the necessary adjustments. No word yet on when Holland might make his return to the Octagon, but late spring or early summer is probably a safe estimate for one of the division's busiest fighters.
