Jon Jones is looking ripped ahead of fight with Stipe Miocic at UFC 309

Jon Jones is ready to put his heavyweight strap on the line for the first time against Stipe Miocic in a match-up that pits together two of the greatest fighters to ever grace the sport.

And while many believe that Tom Aspinall is the much more deserving opponent, by the looks of things, the polarizing champion is taking the Cleveland native very seriously.

When Jones initially stepped up to heavyweight to go head-to-head with Ciryl Gane, he looked to be carrying a bit of excess weight around his midriff.

However, that all seems to have gone, with the 37-year-old looking close to the best shape of his life.

Jones has uploaded an image to his Instagram story, showcasing his ripped physique, with many fans now coming forward with the opinion that the rest of the division is in trouble.

One person wrote: “Jon Jones officially has a six pack again. Game over, heavyweights,” while another added: “Jones looking lean and mean.”

A third commented: “Run for the hills, Jon Jones is f***ing back,” and a fourth claimed: “He is in the best shape I’ve seen him in.”

Chael Sonnen says Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall will take place

Despite being in tremendous condition, the MMA community is still upset with Jones.

With the legend showing very little interest in a showdown with Aspinall, fans are beginning to conclude that a match-up between the pair will never come to fruition.

However, Chael Sonnen is still utterly convinced that the pair will eventually agree to a major showdown.

He recently explained why he thinks Jones will sign on the dotted line.
