Francis Ngannou responds to a recent callout from heavyweight boxer Deontay Wilder as he reveals future plans

After finally making his PFL debut this past October, Francis Ngannou has once again hinted at a potential return to the boxing ring.
The former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou, finally made his PFL debut this past October after signing with the promotion last year.
‘The Predator’ went on to knock out Renan Ferreira in the first round of their highly anticipated ‘Battle of the Giants’ fight, showcasing that he is still one of the best heavyweight MMA fighters in the world.
Deontay Wilder expresses interest in a boxing fight against Francis Ngannou
During his time away from MMA, Ngannou realized success in the boxing ring, and despite picking up losses against Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, he made astronomical amounts of money.
Although he devastatingly lost by second-round KO against Joshua, the 38-year-old made it clear that he would return to the ring in the not-so-distant future.
One boxing matchup that fans have called for since his emergence in the sport is a fight against fellow power puncher, Deontay Wilder.
‘The Bronze Bomber’ recently once again expressed his interest in a potential fight against Ngannou, telling TMZ Sports: “Yeah, that’s a combination station. I’m still looking to get in there, in the mix, and talk about it.”
The 39-year-old is coming off the back of two upset losses to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang, making a potential fight against Ngannou even more interesting.

Despite his recent debut in the PFL Smartcage, Ngannou is still hopeful of competing in both MMA and boxing, and he is intrigued by the potential clash against Wilder.
The issue the 38-year-old has in terms of continuing a run under the PFL banner is that the promotion’s heavyweight roster isn’t exactly full of exciting matchups for him.
“I will wait a couple of months to see if the PFL pulls something up,” Ngannou told TMZ Sports.
“And if not, I will see if there’s something in boxing. Either. But it’s not like it’s top in my mind, I know I can do either of them.
“Since (me and Wilder) spoke nothing has changed. In my vision, if I have a couple of fights left, I would like that to be one of them,” Ngannou continued.
Whilst the PFL searches around for another potential heavyweight challenger, Ngannou will continue to assess his options in both sports and he has even commented on a potential fight against Jake Paul.
