Tommy Fury may have an opponent sorted for his return to the ring, with a former gang member claiming he’s set to trade leather with the Love Island runner-up.
The brother of the former heavyweight world champion hasn’t laced-up the gloves since October 2023.
Matt Floyd says he’s scheduled to fight Tommy Fury
In the aftermath of his last victory over KSI, Tommy Fury suffered a hand injury, which required surgery and kept him away from the sport for several months.
Following a lengthy hiatus, the reality star eventually returned to training, organizing a blockbuster showdown with Darren Till.
The pair produced a spectacular press conference, with insults metaphorically flying before water literally flew when John Fury lost his temper.
Alas, while the media event hyped up the clash, the excitement was quickly dampened when the 10-0 boxer pulled out because Till had threatened to head-kick him if he was losing.

However, it now looks like Fury may finally have a new opponent with 15-1 Matt Floyd, claiming he’s ready to face the Brit at Misfits 21.
The Australian, who used to lead a gang, has turned his life around and dedicated himself to combat sports.
He took to Instagram to upload a poster, which indicates the bout will take place at Wembley Arena in London, UK.
He captioned the post: “The date of the fight has now been moved to the 29th of March. This fight is a culmination of everything I’ve worked for, and no matter what obstacles come my way, the goal will remain the same.”
Darren Till takes credit for running Tommy Fury and John Fury out of boxing amid reports of split
While it appears Fury could be boxing again in the very near future, it might be without his dad beside him.
Reports have emerged that ‘Gypsy John’ will no longer have a very specific position within his son’s team.
Of course, Till has taken this as an opportunity to take credit for ‘running’ the duo out of the sport.
