Eddie Hall rubbishes Misfits Boxing's claim of MMA fight with controversial star

04/01/2025 03:39 PM
Former strongman Eddie Hall believes Misfits Boxing is being disingenuous with their recent claim about an MMA fight with Dillon Danis.
Eddie Hall will make his professional MMA debut against Mariusz Pudzianowski on April 26th at KSW 105. He’ll make his first walk to the cage after competing in arm wrestling and boxing competitions in recent years.
Hall has taken the combat sports world by storm after recently competing in a 2v1 fight and winning a performance that went viral. Pudzianowski presents a massive test for Hall in his MMA debut, but according to Misfits Boxing, Hall was close to making his first MMA appearance against a controversial personality.
Misfits Boxing recently announced in an Instagram post that the promotion attempted to book an MMA fight between former Bellator fighter Dillon Danis and Hall, before negotiations fell through. But according to Hall, he wasn’t aware of any fight talks.

Eddie Hall ‘would love’ to fight Dillon Danis but questions Misfits fight tease
During a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Hall addressed the Misfits fight with Danis that didn’t come to fruition, despite social media teases.
“Misfits put that out on Instagram, and there were no talks, I’ll be honest,” Hall admitted. “No talks whatsoever. I didn’t know of any talks, there might’ve been talks behind my back, but I saw that on Misfits’ Instagram, and immediately saw a message talking about my contract…I’d love to fight Dillon Danis; that may well happen one day.
“Two weeks notice? I would’ve taken that fight, in MMA as well.”
Danis was allegedly in talks to potentially face Bare Knuckle FC star Mike Perry in a short-notice MMA fight. But as of this writing, nothing’s been formally booked, after Danis was originally set to face KSI in a boxing match earlier this month before KSI’s withdrawal due to illness.
Danis hasn’t fought in MMA since his two fights in Bellator, accumulating a 2-0 record before parting ways with the promotion. He last fought in a boxing match against Logan Paul in 2023, losing by disqualification.
Eddie Hall admits he’s ‘scared’ ahead of MMA debut at KSW 105
In the meantime, Hall faces a formidable test for his MMA debut at KSW 105, and admits he’s ‘scared’ about the prospect of falling short of the mark against Pudzianowski. A fellow strongman alum, Pudzianowski is 17-9 in his MMA career but is coming off of back-to-back defeats in the KSW cage.
Hall is expected to get off to a strong start against the veteran Pudzianowski when the cage doors close later this month. But if Pudzianowski can survive Hall’s early barrage, don’t expect the fight to go much further into the later rounds.
In either case, it remains to be seen if Hall vs. Danis will come to fruition, but it appears Misfits Boxing’s announcement might’ve been premature.
